I got my Inspection Report, now what?

We realize that many potential homebuyers have never been through this process before, and we’re here to help!

At TLE Worry Free Inspection, our goal is to provide reports that are extremely comprehensive but not overloaded with irrelevant information. You will receive a report that will give you the necessary information you need for your home buying process in a clear and concise manner. In most cases, we are able to send the reports same day. You can let us know who should receive the report and we are happy to send it directly to any additional individuals that you list in your inspection request.

When you receive your report, there will be several main areas. First, you will see an overview of the house that was inspected. This is where your information, your realtor’s information, and any relevant details about the house will be noted.

Next, you will see the Table of Contents as pictured here.

A quick look over the table of contents will show you the main areas that are inspected during a report. Here you can see both the interior and exterior areas that were reviewed. It is important to remember that while a home inspection is detailed as far as what is reviewed, the inspection is based on a visual and operational check of the features, but does not include disassembly of any equipment, or inspection inside walls or other concealed areas. Depending on the issues that are spotted, the report may recommend that you have a specialist such as an electrician or plumber come to evaluate a problem if there is an area of major concern.

The report will include both detailed explanations of each area that is inspected as well as a summary which is a high-level overview of the findings. If you’re looking for a quick answer to find out the condition of the house, the summary is a great place to start, while each of the detailed sections will give you the breakdown of the condition of each area and a more in-depth analysis of any areas of concern. You can take a look at a sample report linked below to see more details about each section listed above, and get a better idea of what your home inspection report will look like.
